On 16th June 2007 the government announced the development of five regional airports in selected locations within the republic of Maldives, with a resort attached to each of these airports. The offer was accepted by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc, Maldives Airports Company and Island Aviation, to undertake the developments together as a consortium. The Airport Investments Company Pvt. Ltd. was hence incorporated on the 21st June 2007 as a private limited company with the three companies as three equal shareholders. The Company was formed with the primary objective of developing, constructing, managing and operating airports and tourist resorts in the Maldives, and to carry on all aspects of business connected with airport and tourist resort operations. Providing maintenance services and expansion of, and improvements on, all infrastructures related to airports and resorts.
Providing services such as electricity, water and sewerage for airports and resorts.
Establishing and managing transit hotels in various islands in Republic of Maldives.
Establishing and managing Marina’s in various islands in Republic of Maldives.
Our Vision
The Company’s vision is to build and manage a viable air-transport infrastructure for the country, which once operational, would contribute to the overall social and economic development of the nation.
